Russian Rocket (2022–2023) is a sticker project that simulates the flight of a Russian ballistic missile over peaceful cities by placing rocket-shaped stickers on the windows of moving vehicles. The sticker itself remains static, while the movement of the vehicle creates the illusion of a missile slicing through the urban landscape. This artistic gesture evokes a visceral sense of threat — one deeply familiar to every Ukrainian whose daily life has been disrupted by war.
While Kadyrova typically works with documentary materials and real objects, in this case the video is deliberately edited — yet this does not diminish its authenticity. The fact of massive attacks on the civilian population is indisputable and already well-documented. In this work, Kadyrova not only conveys the terror of a landscape torn by war, but also creates a universal image of threat that is instantly comprehensible to any viewer, regardless of geography.
